WHY DO YOU NEED THIS?
When you decided to start a photography business, you did it because you were passionate about being a photographer. You weren’t necessarily excited about the business part, especially the “T” word. But unfortunately TAXES are a part of our lives and we just need to deal with them or pay the consequences (i.e. big dollars for those who get caught not collecting sales tax).
I created Super Simple Sales Tax to make sales tax EASY for every portrait photographer and wedding photographer. The last thing you want to be worrying about is filing your sales tax return, wondering whether or not you are doing the right thing, or even avoiding registering to collect sales tax all together because it seems too daunting. You can do this!
WHO WROTE THIS?
I am a lawyer/MBA with 15 years of experience working exclusively with indirect taxes: sales and use taxes in the United States and VAT and GST internationally. I have worked with big dollar/big name clients as well as with small and medium sized business clients. I have educated photographers about sales tax extensively through my presentations at Shutterfest and articles written for Rangefinder, Behind the Shutter and popular blogs like PhotographySpark.com. I was also a professional photographer for several years and I played an integral part in pushing the Massachusetts Department of Revenue to clarify their sales tax rules as they pertain to portrait and wedding photographers.
I took everything I knew, all of my expertise as a tax lawyer and an educator and I created something amazingly SIMPLE about sales and use tax. This moment has been long overdue, photographers everywhere rejoice! This book is over 100 pages long, but I promise — I hold your hand, provide simple explanations, and speak directly to how to handle sales and use tax for your photography business.
This is an ebook, once you purchase the book you will instantly be able to download the PDF within your web browser or you can send the ebook directly to your dropbox account. An email will also be sent to you with the download link.

As you know sometimes photographers suck on the business side of our business – ha unfortunately, however this is something I’m actively changing. 🙂 Anyways, just wanted to let you know I think your topics are great.
